1. Data Controller
Pixel Digital Lab ("we", "us", "our"), based in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico, is responsible for the processing of your personal data. Contact: [email protected].
2. Data We Collect
- Contact data: name, phone number, and email address submitted via forms.
- Usage data: pages visited, traffic source, UTM parameters, and session data (via first-party cookies and Meta Pixel).
- Advertising data: behavioral and conversion events collected through Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) for the purpose of measuring and optimizing advertising campaigns.
- Client website and application data: when we build, manage, or operate a website, web app, or digital tool for a client under the Pixel Digital Lab brand, we may access and process usage data, form submissions, and analytics generated by that platform to deliver and improve our services — unless a written contract between Pixel Digital Lab and the client explicitly restricts such access.
- Social media account data: when a client authorizes us to manage their Instagram or Facebook account via the Meta API, we collect the account identifier, access tokens, and metadata necessary to publish content on their behalf.
- Communications: content of messages you send us via email, WhatsApp, or forms.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Respond to inquiries and service requests.
- Deliver contracted services (web design, SEO, advertising, automation, social media management).
- Publish content on social media on behalf of clients who have expressly authorized such access.
- Measure and optimize the performance of Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising campaigns through Meta Pixel.
- Improve the experience of websites and applications we develop and operate for clients.
- Comply with legal and tax obligations.
4. Legal Basis
Processing is based on the data subject's consent (forms, Meta OAuth authorization), performance of a service contract, and compliance with applicable legal obligations under Mexican law (LFPDPPP).
5. Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram Tracking)
This website and websites we build for clients under the Pixel Digital Lab brand may use Meta Pixel, a tracking technology provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. Meta Pixel allows us to measure the effectiveness of advertising by collecting data on actions visitors take on our site (such as page views, form submissions, and purchases) and attributing them to ads shown on Facebook and Instagram.
Data collected through Meta Pixel may be processed by Meta and is subject to Meta's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Meta's interest-based advertising by adjusting your ad preferences on Facebook.
6. Meta API Access (Instagram / Facebook Management)
When a client connects their Instagram or Facebook account through our automation services, we obtain an access token that allows us to publish content, read basic insights, and manage comments according to the permissions granted. This token is stored securely, is not shared with third parties, and is revoked upon termination of the service relationship or at the client's request at any time.
To request deletion of data linked to your Meta account, email us at [email protected].
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data to third parties. Your data stays with us and is used exclusively to deliver our services. Data may be processed by technology providers (hosting, automation tools, email platforms, Meta Pixel infrastructure) under confidentiality agreements and solely for service delivery purposes.
8. Retention
Data is retained for the duration of the active business relationship and for the periods required by Mexican tax and commercial law (generally 5 years). Social media access tokens are deleted upon permission revocation or contract termination.
9. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data by emailing [email protected] with your name and description of your request. We will respond within 20 business days.
10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use first-party cookies to remember preferences and measure site performance. We also use Meta Pixel, a third-party tracking technology, for advertising measurement and optimization purposes (see section 5). You can disable cookies in your browser settings or opt out of Meta's tracking through your Facebook ad preferences.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. The current version will always be available at pixeldigitallab.com/en/privacy. Material changes will be notified by email to active clients.
